Joan's Farm & Pumpkin Patch on Mines Road outside Livermore has been running on a historic family cattle ranch since October 1990. For 2026 it is open from October 2 to October 31.
What days and hours?
Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM. It is closed Mondays, except Columbus Day, October 12.
How do the activities work?
Each activity is $5, or $25 a person for an unlimited wristband. Choices include the maze, pumpkin bowling, the Little Blue Train, feeding the animals, a large inflatable slide and obstacle course, an Old West town and an old farm equipment museum.
Can we use a card, and is there food?
Bring cash or a check, since those are what the farm accepts, though there is an ATM on site. The Snack Shack sells shaved ice, hot dogs, pumpkin pie and nachos, and a weekend BBQ starts the second weekend of October. Portable restrooms are on the grounds.
