About Windmill Pumpkin Farm

Windmill Acres Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch sits on East Brunswick Road in Beecher, about an hour from Chicago. Its 2026 fall season runs from September 18 through October 31, with mums, pumpkins, a play area and homemade donuts.

When is it open?

Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. It is closed Mondays, except Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, when it opens. On October 31 it closes at noon.

How do the wristbands work?

A regular wristband is $10 for children ages 2 to 18 and $8 for adults, and adults need one too. A season pass is $30 a person. It covers unlimited hayrides, the petting zoo, the playground, slides, a giant corn pit, pedal cars, barrel rides and the pumpkin bouncy house.

Can the kids pick a pumpkin?

Yes. The hayride takes children out to the pumpkin field, and each child can bring back one pie pumpkin per day. Larger pumpkins, gourds, straw bales and cornstalks are sold at the farm.

Is it scary for little ones?

No. The farm says there are no spooky themes or haunted houses. The gift shop sells apple cider and pumpkin spice doughnuts, and donut sundaes.
