“U-Pick apples begin August 29”

Christ Orchard near Elmwood has grown apples and other fall crops since 1977 and is now run by two generations of the same family. There is no admission charge, and in 2026 u-pick apples started on August 29.
When can we pick?
U-pick apples run from the last Saturday in August through the last Saturday in October, which is October 31 this year. U-pick pumpkins run from the last Saturday in September through October 31, and in October you can cut a pumpkin off the vine yourself.
What are the hours?
In September and October it is open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, and on Columbus Day. It is always closed on Sundays. November hours are 8 AM to 6 PM, and the season ends the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Is there a hayride?
No, the orchard does not offer a hay ride to the orchard.
Is the cider pasteurized?
No, the cider is raw and unheated. The orchard says people with a weakened immune system may want to heat it to 160 degrees and cool it before drinking.
