Stade's Farm and Market is a working farm on Miller Road in McHenry with a 30-acre pumpkin patch and an apple orchard of more than 12,000 trees. Its Shades of Autumn Fall Festival runs nine weekends, through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
When are the attractions open?
The Farmtractions area runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus Columbus Day, from 10 AM to 6 PM. The farm market is open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM through Halloween.
What do kids do at the festival?
Hayrides out to the pumpkin patch, a 2-acre corn maze, a barrel train, a semi-truck slide and a petting zoo with goats, a pony, bunnies, a llama and an alpaca. Apple cannons are $5 for 10 shots on Saturdays and Sundays.
Can we bring the dog?
No. Only trained service animals are allowed. Children 15 and younger need adult supervision at all times.
How do we pay?
Cash, debit and credit cards are taken, but not American Express. Parking is free with general admission.
