Indian Creek Farmstead & Pumpkin Patch

Indian Creek Farmstead is a family farm on Curtis Blacktop Road outside Petersburg with a pumpkin patch of more than 70 varieties. Its 2026 pumpkin season opened Saturday, September 12 and runs on weekends through October 31.

When is the pumpkin patch open?

Saturdays from 11 AM to 3:30 PM and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM. Food stops serving at 3 PM, so plan lunch early.

What does it cost?

Kids are $5 each for the Barnyard play area, which includes the big wagon ride, and a child must be with an adult. Adults pay only if they ride the wagon to the timber, which is $5.

What will the kids do?

The Barnyard has sandboxes, shelled corn boxes, slides, playhouses, a roping corral, a grain train ride and farm animals to see up close. The tractor-pulled wagon ride through the timber takes about 35 minutes.

Any tips for the pumpkin field?

Wear boots or old sneakers, because it is a real field and can be muddy. Wagons, a cutting tool and a pumpkin wash station are provided, and there are pre-picked pumpkins if you would rather not walk out.
