Hy's Cider Mill on 37 Mile Road in Bruce Township has been making cider in the same family for more than three generations. For 2026 it is open weekends only, from Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, November 1.
What hours should we plan around?
Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 6 PM. Apple picking ends an hour earlier, at 5 PM, so arrive by mid-afternoon if picking is the main event.
How do we get out to the apples?
A wagon ride takes you out to the u-pick trees. Back at the store there is cider, donuts and caramel apples, and several outdoor picnic areas to eat them in.
Is it open on weekdays?
No, it is weekends only during September and October. Other activities depend on the date and the weather, so call (810) 798-3611 if you are planning around something specific.
