Speaker Lone Oak Orchard

This orchard and farm market on Brockway Road (M-19) in Melvin now goes by Speaker Farm Market & Orchard, run by Mark and Chylie Sweeney. Its fall activities started on Saturday, September 12, and the market is open every day.

What are the hours?

9 AM to 5 PM most days, and 9 AM to 7 PM on Tuesdays and Fridays. Corn maze tickets stop selling an hour before closing.

What does u-pick cost?

Apples are $4.50 for a quarter peck bag, $9 for a half peck and $18 for a half bushel. U-pick pumpkins are $5 each, and you can fill a cup from the sunflower and zinnia field for $5 through October.

Is there a corn maze and hayride?

Yes. This is the farm's first corn maze, designed and cut by the owners, at $5 a person with kids 2 and under free. Hayrides run on weekends only and are free for the family with a $10 purchase.

Any events still to come?

A Fall Car Show on Saturday, October 10 from 11 AM to 2 PM is free to walk around, and a free Trick or Treat Trail runs Saturday, October 31 from 3 to 5 PM. Pies can be pre-ordered online for pickup.
