Brookhollow's Barnyard on Rockaway Valley Road in Boonton is a petting farm with a pumpkin patch in the fall. Pumpkins began on September 19, and the farm stays open into early November.
What are the hours?
Tuesday through Friday 10 AM to 2:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. It is closed on Mondays.
What does it cost to get in?
Admission is $7.50, and children under 2 are free. Tickets are sold at the door on the day, and cash and credit cards are both accepted.
Can the kids feed the animals?
Yes. A cup of carrots is $3.50 and a bucket is $6.50, and both come with a shovel that must be used for feeding. Keep fingers out of the pens, and no outside animal food is allowed.
Are there rides?
A Thomas the Train ride around the garden is $3 and takes about 5 minutes. A tractor ride around the farm is $3 and takes about 15 minutes.
