Windy Brow Farms on Ridge Road near Newton has grown fruit since 1946 and runs a farm store with a bakery, ice cream and pick-your-own apples. A spring freeze left this year's crop small and limited, so the 2026 picking season is shorter than usual.
When can we pick apples?
The pick-your-own orchard is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM unless the farm announces otherwise. Fruit is limited, and some weekends may have picking while others do not, so check the farm's website or social pages before you go.
How much does picking cost?
There is no admission, parking or per-pound fee. You pay only for the bag, and there is one size: a 4-quart bag of about 9 pounds for $15. No refunds are given for pick your own.
Is it a good fit for small kids?
It is a quiet orchard visit rather than an activity park. The farm says plainly there are no bounce houses, cow trains, corn pits or pumpkin cannons. The farm store is open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM, with apple cider donuts and ice cream.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome on the property and in the fields, but not inside the farm store or under the pizza pergola.
