The Pumpkin Stand on State Route 414 in Ovid has been selling pumpkins since 1984 and grows more than 8 acres of u-pick pumpkins. For 2026 it opened on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, and is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM through Halloween.
When do the hayrides run?
On Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. The ride tours the 8-acre patch so you can spot the pumpkin you want before you go out and pick it, and it costs $5 per rider.
Is the corn maze too big for little kids?
The farm calls its corn maze family friendly, challenging but not something that will take you or your little ones hours.
What else is at the stand?
Squash, gourds, ornamental corn, mums, corn stalks and straw bales, along with fresh cider and baked goods. The family also runs Hearth & Harvest, a small general store in the village of Ovid.
