Mitchell Farms

Mitchell Farms on Old Mill Run Road in Altoona runs a corn maze and pumpkin patch every fall, with more than 20 games and activities around the farm. The 2026 season runs from September 18 through November 1.

What does a day ticket cost?

Single-day admission is $15 for everyone age 4 and up, and children 3 and under are free. Paintball, pumpkin launching and pumpkin painting ($5 per pumpkin) cost extra. The farm says it never sells out, so you can wait to buy online until you are sure of the weather.

When is it open?

Fridays 3 to 8 PM, Saturdays 11 AM to 8 PM and Sundays 11 AM to 6 PM. On October 24 and October 31 it stays open until 9 PM for Glow Nights.

What will the kids do?

There is a 6.5 acre corn maze with an America 250 theme, a hayride out to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch, a barrel train, a giant straw bale maze, a pipe slide off a mountain of straw bales and a farm animal area.

Can we bring our dog?

No. Only ADA service dogs are allowed, because some things on the farm, like the field corn in the corn box, could make animals sick.
