Birch Island Farm

Birch Island Farm is a small family farm on State Road 244 in Waldron, in Shelby County. In the fall it sells pumpkins and decor from its stand, and for 2026 it opened on September 19.

When is the stand open?

Fridays through Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM, and it is closed Monday through Thursday. If you need another time, the farm says to give it a call at 317-604-0620 and it will do its best to open the gate.

Do we pick pumpkins in a field?

No. Pumpkins come already picked and ready at the stand, alongside gourds, fall decor and farm crafts. There is plenty of open room for family photos.

Is there a reason to come back later in the year?

Yes. In December it is a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm, with more than 5,500 trees planted on the property by hand.
