About Milky Way Farm

Milky Way Farm on East Uwchlan Avenue in Chester Springs has been a Matthews family dairy farm since 1902, and it opens its pumpkin fields to the public each fall. The 2026 pumpkin harvest season runs on weekends from September 26 through October 31, with the family's Chester Springs Creamery scooping ice cream on site.

What does a ticket cover?

General admission is $5 for everyone over 3. It lets you walk the corn maze, visit the farm animals, take family photos and stroll through the meadow to a pumpkin patch, as part of a two-hour visit. A hayride to a different patch is an extra $5 per person, and pumpkins are paid for separately.

When can we go?

Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM, rain or shine unless the weather is extreme. On Friday afternoons you can also stop by to buy pumpkins, walk to the patch and see the animals. The farm is closed to the public Monday through Thursday.

Is there ice cream?

Yes. The creamery, which makes ice cream from the farm's own cows' milk, is open 11 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays and Sundays during pumpkin season.

Anything else to know before we go?

Only service dogs on a leash are allowed, for the safety of the animals. Bring your own wagon or borrow one of the farm's to haul pumpkins, gourds and other fall items.
