2026 season
🍂 Fall Festivals
368 farms across 9 states, 265 of them with a confirmed 2026 season date taken from the farm's own site. None are estimated or copied from another directory.
A farm fall festival means extra fun on top of the farm's usual pumpkins and hayrides, often with live music, food, crafts and games for kids. At some farms the festival runs all season long; at others it is a special event on just one or two weekends, so it pays to check which kind it is. Of the 368 farms with fall festivals in our directory, 338 include a pumpkin patch and 274 have hayrides, so there is usually plenty to fill a family day.

When to go in 2026
Most fall festivals open around Sep 19 and close around Oct 31. 87% of the closing dates farms have posted are on or before November 1, so don't leave it too late. Farms in Michigan tend to open first (around Sep 12), and those in California and Texas last (around Sep 26). Hoping for a quieter weekday trip? Of the 283 farms that publish their fall hours, 73 (26%) are closed Monday through Thursday, so check the farm's hours before you go. These figures come from the 2026 dates 265 of the 368 farms have posted themselves, and update as more farms post theirs.
What parents usually want to know
How do we know when the festival is on?
The dates on this page are each farm's own 2026 season, taken from the farm itself. If the festival is a special weekend event rather than the whole season, its dates can be narrower, and the farm's page will list them. Check before you go, especially if the weather has been bad.
Is it good for toddlers and little kids?
Yes. Festivals are built for families, with kids' games, farm animals and hayrides. They can also be crowded and loud, so for toddlers an early arrival, a carrier or sturdy wagon, and a planned quiet break can make the day go more smoothly.
How much does it cost?
Some festivals are free to enter and charge for food and activities; others sell admission or wristbands that cover the rides and games. Parking is sometimes extra. Prices vary a lot, so check the farm's own page, and bring cash for food and craft vendors.
What should we wear and bring?
Layers, comfortable closed-toe shoes for fields and grass, sunscreen and water. Some festivals don't allow outside food, pets or coolers, so check the rules before you pack.
Is there a plan if we get separated?
Big festival crowds make it easy to lose sight of a child. Agree on a meeting spot when you arrive, such as the entrance or a landmark, and make sure kids old enough to understand know your phone number.
What about parking?
Popular festival weekends can fill parking lots quickly, and some farms use overflow fields or shuttles. Arriving early usually means a shorter walk and shorter lines.
When is it least crowded?
The first hours after opening are usually the calmest part of a festival day. If a festival runs on several weekends, the earlier ones are often less crowded than the last weekend before Halloween.

How these dates are checked
Every season date on this page was read off the farm's own website, Facebook page or ticket store, then checked against this year's calendar. A page still advertising last fall's dates is rejected rather than republished. Farms with no date yet simply have not posted one; more do as the season nears. How we verify season dates →
